This illustration presents an abdominal examination with a focus on findings and resections within the colon. An anterior abdominal view reveals organs, including the liver, gall bladder, stomach, and intestines. Previous stomach surgery and dense adhesions are noted. Within the colon, a multipolypoid lesion measuring 7 x 2 x 0.9 cm, located 38 cm from the anus, is identified as “probably malignant” based on endoscopic findings. A 13 cm segment of the colon has been resected, with detailed images of this segment shown below. The resected portion includes a proximal section 28 cm from the anus and a distal section 15 cm from the anus. Notably, a single 1.0 x 2.0 cm polyp is present near the distal end of resection, while the suspicious lesion is located 7.0 cm above the resected area.
